    We will:

    • Run successful campaigns to do what it takes to win

    • Pull every lever and use every tactic to win: industrial, legal, political, community and media

    When you need help, your union will be there. Fast, practical and on your side. Whether it is advice, representation, or support during a workplace crisis, we will have your back.

    We will deliver:

    • More organisers in your workplace with a clear plan to win

    • Greater access to legal advice, industrial support and advocacy

    • A guaranteed returned call within 24 hours when you contact the union

    • A 20% increase in our advice centre to reduce wait times and fast-track member case handling

  • Stronger Delegates, Stronger Members

    Strong delegates are the foundation of a strong union. We know when delegates are supported, members win. We will prioritise training that gives delegates the tools to win for members every single day.

    We will:

    • Train more workplace delegates

    • Establish local delegate conventions in every state and territory, held every two years

    • Expand industry delegates committees to give local delegates a real voice in the direction of their industry

    A strong member voice is at the heart of a democratic union. When your voice is heard and respected, our union is more powerful and effective.

    We will:

    • Give members a greater say in decisions and campaigns

    • Make sure members from every part of the country have a voice so our diversity is reflected

  • No Membership Fee Increases

    We will not charge you more to support you. With cost of living pressures still biting, we commit to no membership fee increases for four years. We’ll also reduce the National Secretary’s pay.

    This is your union. The union's money is members' money, and it should be spent supporting you at work.

    No one should be left behind. We will build power industry by industry, worksite by worksite, learning from what has worked and improving where we need to.

Advocacy Priorities for the Next Four Years

United for You is committed to action on issues that matter to members. We recognise that progress made through industrial action can be eroded by rising costs of housing, education, or health, so we need to fight for our members both inside and outside the workplace.

  • Families across Australia are doing it tough. Groceries cost more. Rent keeps rising. Power bills are through the roof. Every dollar counts, and your union is fighting to make sure more of those dollars stay with you.

    Cost of living relief isn't just about one big win. It's about using every tool we have to put pressure on employers, governments and big corporations to give working people a fair go.

    Some people think strikes are the only way to fight. We know better. Strikes can be part of the answer, but they're not the whole answer. When you're struggling to pay rent, you can't afford to lose days of pay unless there's a real plan to win.

    That's why we use industrial action strategically as part of comprehensive campaigns that include legal challenges, political pressure, media attention, and community support. This approach delivered 28% pay rises for aged care workers, broke government wage caps in WA and SA, and won millions in backpay.

    Cost of living relief isn't a slogan. It's about real money in your pocket, secure hours you can count on, and a union that uses every available tool to fight for you.

  • Owning a home should be an easier option for members, and renting should be secure.

  • Continued investment in education, disability support, health, and aged care is vital for members' families, communities, and those working in these sectors.

  • Supporting reconciliation and advancing rights for First Nations peoples, who are a significant part of our membership, especially in the top end.
